THOTCON (pronounced \ˈthȯt\ and taken from THree - One - Two) is a hacking conference based in Chicago IL, USA. This is a non-profit, non-commercial event looking to provide the best conference possible on a very limited budget.
It was started as an idea in late 2009, by a group of Chicago hackers who wanted to start a local low cost con.
Since Chicago has a great hacking and security scene in small pockets we wanted to get everyone together at a real conference where we don't have to travel and spend a ton of money.
Any proceeds from the event are applied toward the next year's event with hope to be able to put on a better con each year.
It will be held at a location only to be disclosed to attendees and speakers during the week before the event.
THOTCON is produced by THOTCON Infinity NFP, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
